I was wondering what the board's thoughts are on periodization are if I am doing mainly bodyweight exercises? My normal routine is usually a 1 leg squat/deadlift, with or without weight and a type of press, usually a kb/db c&p, and the rest bodyweight stuff, pulls/chins, pushups etc.
I've been told that most of the perd. stuff had more to do with steroid cycles, but I could never verify that.
I want to continue to get stronger and more enduring for self defense/bjj and bodyweight workouts agree with my body moreso than heavy weights these days.
